Families can also discuss value in game purchases. Is there enough new content in this \"arcade\" edition to justify its price Would you have gotten more from a completely new game Do you consider these factors when making game purchased
Official Nintendo Magazine says \"Easily the best fighter game on a Nintendo handheld and a must for fans of the series\", and gave it a 91. [5] Yet another magazine, Game Informer, gave it a 90, stating \"A complete game. Super Street Fighter IV is one of the best fighting games around, and players owe it to themselves to give it a shot.\"
Four new characters were added to the arcade edition of Super Street Fighter IV; the twin brothers Yun and Yang (from the Street Fighter III games), Evil Ryu and a new version of Akuma called Oni. The extra characters are available as DLC. It was originally going to be the final SFIV update, until Ultra Street Fighter IV was announced.
This is an arcade-style fighting game in which players engage in one-on-one combat with a large international cast of human characters. Players mostly kick, punch, and use special abilities (e.g., fireballs, flying moves, and electrical strikes) to drain the opposing player's life meter. Special moves (ultra combos and super combos) are displayed in animated sequences in which characters react to being punched, kicked, or stomped on. Some of the female fighters' outfits are form-fitting and accentuate their breasts and buttocks; before battle, the camera occasionally zooms-out from close-up views of flexed gluteus. One of the fight stages occurs in a distillery with equipment used for brewing and wooden casks labeled \"Scotch-Whisky.\" The expletives \"damn\" and \"hell\" can be heard in the dialogue.
The Street Fighter series has always had a knack for featuring some of the best music tracks available in a fighting game and this 3DS release is no exception. Everything from synthesised rock to the techno-infused numbers do a superb job of carrying the mood and intensity of the action taking place on-screen and features a surprising degree of stereo separation. The developers have even managed to squeeze in quite a few pieces of character dialogue for each of the 35 fighters to further liven up the audio package. Even as great as the original Street Fighter II soundtrack was, this one here might actually give it a run for its money.
Thanks for the review. Glad to know almost every content from the console versions made it here. Even if I don't get the 3DS on launch, I'll be getting this game since I loved playing it on the arcade and I don't have it on the PS3. Also, I really can't wait to get my hands on the limited edition lenticular boxart.
still on the fence about this or pilotwings since I don't want to have the system and no game. Pilotwings seems a little short on content and dull (tech demo-y), and this seems great but I haven't touched a 'vs. fighter' since the original SF2 and virtua fighter 2 in arcades. This seems like a modern mashing of those two so maybe I should give it a chance for the fun of it since there's so much content. will there be a review of pilotwings coming soon too
i used to like a lot street fighter years ago, but got lost in the hugefranchise that it became. i kinda stopped at SF alpha...i owned one on ps1 but lacking friends that played street fighter, the game didnt have a long life.
I will probably get this next week. The online play sounds nice but I'm sure most people will quit if I get close to winning, which will probably be rare because it's my first street fighter game.
I have Street fighter 4 digitally, I think it's the most bare bones version there's another version in the store called Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade edition - is that like the final everything's included version of the game My version of SF4 has like 26 characters, I'm reading that there's 40odd in later versions of 4 781b155fdc
