The two drivers get ready for the race, but when Perry waves the green flag, Donald stalls and takes a long while to get going. Later in the race, Donald is 28 laps down and comes to pit road to service his car, however, Chase becomes suspicious when his pit stop, which is usually supposed to last around 12 seconds, has been going on for a minute, and the group notice Donald's crew chief talking with Pierce. Chase overhears their conversation and finds out that Pierce had paid Donald's pit crew to sabotage his car. Donald fires his pit crew, and Chase suggests that Donald could use a bionic pit crew. They agree that Leo will serve as crew chief, Chase can work to optimize the car's performance, Bree can change the car's tires, and Adam can lift the car when necessary. Their adjustments to the car cause it to become much faster and effective, and Donald is able to get himself back on the lead lap. Joey then comes in for a pit stop, where Pierce accidentally reveals to Joey that he had been cheating by sabotaging his car. Joey is shocked by this and climbs out of the car, saying he does not race for cheaters. He then leaves Pierce, who desperately decides that he must finish the race himself. Joey, on the other hand, offers to help Leo, Adam, Bree and Chase (although he only does this as an excuse to avoid Perry). Pierce and Donald are neck and neck for the finish of the race, but notice Donald is starting to slow down. However, Joey tells them that Donald is simply drafting, which will allow him to create enough speed and momentum to pass Pierce on the backstretch. Donald's plan works, which allows him to win the race. Leo then mocks Clayton since he has lost his house, and when Clayton tries to tell him that he is still richer, Leo retorts that his money got him nothing.

Jaime and Rudy arrive at Dr. Cooper's complex and are greeted by Alex, the unseen individual from the beginning of the episode. Jaime decides to explore the complex and eventually finds Dr. Cooper's study. He discovers her and she quickly goes into her act as Dr. Perry. Dr. Cooper questions her about her research and Rudy is able to talk her through some of the details when she secretly activates the intercom in his study and listens to his coaching with her bionic ear. After a minute, Jaime suggests to Dr. Cooper that they return to the matter at hand and they both return to the main control room where Dr. Kurosawa and Dr. Evtuhov have arrived. After a heated exchange from Kurosawa and Evtuhov, who seems to realize Jaime is not Dr. Perry, but does not expose her, Dr. Cooper explains the principles behind his Doomsday Device.

Jaime decides to return to the complex to try and disable the Doomsday Device before Satari's test detonation occurs. Rudy suggests disabling the central computer's memory core, but believes Dr. Cooper likely has defensive measures in place to prevent this. Russ gives Jaime another route into the complex through a trail through the rock cliffs on the south quadrant of the complex, which is guarded the lightest. Jaime manages to get through the first part of the area, where she encounters Dr. Evtuhov, who is in reality a Russian agent named Dmitri Muskov, who was sent to stop the Doomsday Device's detonation. He and Jaime decide to work together to get back into the complex, and in the process of doing so, reveals her bionics to him during a climb up the south cliffs. They then encounter an obstacle in the form of a nearby minefield. Jaime is certain she can traverse it safely with the aid of her bionic ear, but complicating the problem is Dmitri, who experiences brutal flashbacks of his brother's death in a Russian minefield.

When Chase is not pictured on the yearbook, he enters a talent show to show everyone he's popular by using his bionics to move a chair with his mind. But Leo messes with Chase's bionics and he was mad so he got revenge by going into commando app and then he messes with the kids in the school which causes Davenport to turn off his bionics until he learns his lesson. Leo discovers three teen super-humans Adam, Bree and Chase, living in a secret underground lab in the high-tech home he shares with his inventor stepdad, Donald Davenport, his mom, Tasha, and Eddy, the "smart house" computer. Leo takes the trio to school, but when they are unable to contain their bionic abilities on campus, Davenport sends them away to a remote secret lab and now Leo must find a way to save his new friends.

The trio has switched places with robot versions of themselves, sending the robots to the remote lab. Tasha is afraid of Leo's attachment to the 'robots' and convences Donald to send them to the scrap yard. Leo heads off to rescue his new friends. On their return home Donald agrees to let them stay and learn about normal human life if they and Leo can keep their bionic powers a secret.

When Adam, Bree and Chase forget to invite Leo to his surprise birthday party, they must make it up to him, so they take Leo into the ultra-cool virtual mission simulator and show him what it's like to be bionic.

Leo teams up with Adam in the school fitness challenge 'Death Spiral Smackdown,' hoping that Adam's bionic powers will be his secret weapon. But the plan backfires when they end up going head-to-head in the finals. Meanwhile, Bree and Chase use their bionic abilities against one another.

Adam, Bree and Chase defy warnings from Davenport and swap bionic chips. Chase, with Adam's abilities, attempts to use heat vision for the first time and accidentally fries the elevator's circuitry, leaving Leo trapped inside with Principal Perry. After an unsuccessful attempt to return the chips to their rightful owners, the Lab Rats realize they must work together to stop the elevator from plunging to the basement.

When Adam, Bree and Chase are caught on Principal Perry's surveillance camera using bionics, they enlist Leo's help to pull off their most important mission yet. Donning Davenport's invisibility cloak, Leo sneaks into Perry's office to retrieve the evidence, but their plan is foiled when Tasha and Davenport arrive early for parent-teacher conference night.

While Adam, Bree and Chase head off for their latest mission to fix a broken panel in Davenport Industries' Space Station, Leo is tasked with distracting his nosy nemesis Marcus. When Marcus wanders into the lab, Davenport is forced to cover and answer his prying questions instead of guiding the Lab Rats through their biggest mission yet. Meanwhile, Chase accidently discovers a hidden bionic ability, molecular kinesis, leaving Adam and Bree curious about their own secret abilities.

Since the lab is destroyed, Adam, Bree and Chase go without their capsules. This causes glitches in their bionics. In order to prevent this, Mr. Davenport pulls off a huge stunt in a fiberglass jet wing he invented. Things go wrong when the Jet Wing runs out of fuel. Meanwhile, knowing the Lab Rats' bionic secret, Principal Perry uses Adam and Bree as her bionic servants for the day.

Chase and Adam record themselves doing bionic stunts but then have to scramble to find the phone they used before their secret is exposed. Meanwhile, Leo and Bree scheme to help Perry spend her fortune.
