Gideon Mendel
Photographer and videographer Gideon Mendel [b. 1959, Johannesburg, South Africa] has earned international recognition for his commitment to long-term projects. He began photographing in the 1980s during the final years of apartheid. Since then, he has continued to respond to global social issues, most notably Drowning World, a project about flooding and climate change.
